Our Newsroom

Our news staff publishes a new Digital Edition every morning and the Sun-Reporter in print every week, covering San Francisco and the Bay Area: local government, housing, public health, faith, sports, arts and the stories of our community. Opinion pieces come from the paper’s editorial board and from contributing columnists, and every story is reviewed by our editors before it runs.

Our Partners

State and statewide news comes to our readers through our partnership with California Black Media, published with the original byline and credit.

Our Founders

Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett and Thomas C. Fleming launched the Sun-Reporter in 1944, so that no good cause would lack a champion. Read our history.
